Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown
The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Now, the thing that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
